One of these, and in my view perhaps the most talented, is Abbey Ryan. She has the spirit of an Old Dutch Master residing in her twenty-something year old body.

A few of my own recent acquisitions from the Ryan studio are shown below. Most of them are painted on the scale of 4x6 inch postcards. A few have been a bit larger.
"Two Figs with Tenmoku Ink Bottle No. 2" 4x6"
"Yellow Pair Wrapped in Green Tissue Paper No. 2" 6x4"
"Still Life with Asian Pear & Blue Jay Feather" 4x5"
"Yellow Pair Wrapped in Green Tissue" 5x6"
This is the one that got away. She sold this much larger piece... and I really liked it... at a gallery opening, with a $2400 price tag hanging on it. I had right of first refusal on it, too, and I turned it down for that money.
"Still Life with Three Pears with Leaves" 9x12"
Oriana Kacicek is another really talented person in this genre. I am not too keen on her still life paintings, but I cannot get over her seascapes.

She does a variety of sizes:
"Turquoise" 8x8"
"Surf" 12x12"
"Waves II" 4x4"
"Ocean and Sky" 6x6"
"Sky and Ocean" 8x8"
