April 2, 2012 Silber Comics

You might recall Brian John Mitchell, a musician and general polymath who does those itsy-bitsy matchbook sized comics, from the time when Dave did one.

Brian did a Kickstarter project that included a few interesting options at the upper end, including getting the script and original art for an itsy-bitsy comic based on a story that you suggest.

And I am sucker for a fun idea that does not cost that much money, especially if I can work or collaborate with the artist and we can push on either of our boundaries. In this case, I thought it might be fun to see what would be inspired by his viewing that talk that I gave a Baylor for the Cherry Award competition. He liked that idea quite a bit (relative to the fear of getting someone's autobiography to illustrate).

He mentioned our interaction... and something of his surprise about my perspective on things, on his blog:

There are still a few days if you want to engage this project with him.
