You think I did not mean that? I sure did.
Elrod Hubbard gets the first one.
Sean R gets the second one.
Whomever posts their request next, in THAT comment strand (not this one) gets it. First in, first served.
[UPDATE: Steve gets #3. Thanks for playing, and Happy Holidays to the 3 of you from the home office of Cerebus the Original Aartvark.]
Elrod and Sean, you need to send me a real email with your contact info that I can pass on to Dave. Preferred time of day should take your time zone into account! We've got plenty of time to work it out.
Happy Chanukah, y'all.

Congrats on the win. And thanks for the phone call. What's your email? I can't find it on your blog anywhere.
If you want to sell the CGC for a reasonable sum, let us know too.
See the other comment stream, just to keep it all in one place.
Oh, yeah.
Not selling.
Never have.
Gives me hives.
I still have nightmares about the one time I agreed to trade, even though I got a couple of Cerebus pieces that I had really wanted for a while and it was the only way to shake one of them loose.
I didn't think you were even going to bid on this (hence your saying you were not going to win it)...
Oh, so sorry to confuse you on that, j_ay!
I said "if I win, which I won't" - by which I was implying that I HAD bid already, but I thought it was too low. If I was not bidding, I would have said so and not teased that it was possible to get the phone calls - that would have been bwah-hah-hah-NecrossTheMad-evil. I was merely convinced that the $350 I put on it was going to get trumped by some SOB sniper in the last femtosecond.
I rather like most of the items. The "quick cuts" original art is unique and cute. The tracing paper from which the cover was derived is cool because of the much more complete portrait it represents - I mean it's not a tracing OF the cover, it's the art from which the cover was ultimately drawn. And a Christmas inscribed Deadly Sins portfolio is always nice, as was the chance to give away the phone calls (I mean, you can just CALL Dave any time you want, if you want to chat with him, but if some folks who stop by to read the blog wanted to take advantage of the Christmas Day special, then I am more than happy to oblige).
Oh my goodness…mass communication malfunction: I have noooooooooooooo desire to talk to Dave. Especially on Humphrey Bogart’s birthday.
I was just surprised you bid on it.
Well, I kinds knew the part about you not being interested in taking one of the calls before I ever posted. Anything other than that WOULD have been a shocker.
Anyway, I liked enough of the booty, here, to put up some money... and I am still a little surprised I won the auction.
Youse guyz getting snow over there?
In hopes that Dave does, at some point in the near future, put up some Dave/Ger pages (let alone the thing I reallllly want, which is sadly not in Ger’s possession), I’m hoping these blatant milking the bloody cow (aardvark, if you prefer) auctions reallllllllllllly stop getting bids.
Snow consistently in the mountains and last week it finally hit city-level (around 500 metres)...just and inch or two, but it’s still dreadful.
I’ve already blurted out what I say *every* winter, “this is my last winter”…
I'm pretty sure I have never heard what your Cerebus Grail piece is. Care to share?
I'd pretty much kill for another crack at the "sproing" page, actually.
And the Synchronicity Triptych of covers.
You've piqued my curiousity too j_ay... what's the thing you want that's not in Ger's possession?
Eh?
See the Good Professor’s January 26 2007 post and all shall be revealed:

Wow. That one is a doozy alright!
The Good Professor has a hankering for that piece, too. I think it is truly, truly the epitome of Ger's work. I have a WWC idea for it, too.
