Let's see. We're a month into 2009 and...

buying & selling original comic art seems to be hibernating a little

the integrating of "Buy It Now" store postings among auctions on eBay is just annoying

LOST is back (with a vengeance) - yay LOST

BSG is back (with vengeance) - yay BSG

From the Fall, I find LIFE ON MARS to be a terrific show - a wonder what a period piece from the 1990s will look like?

And I'm looking forward to the return of HEROES

I've not watched (but did record) FRINGE

January 17 2009 - no sale (again)

This is a nice page from Issue #2, and if that opening bid was dropped to $999 I think someone would buy in. I'm not sure it would get the $1399, but the lower left panel is somewhat iconic.

You might recall that I've got page 7 (the actual "snout-punch" page) and as much as I'd like to wed these two, it'll have to come down a bit.

Artist: Cherri Wood (aka Fy Simone) is a young (19 yo) illustrator based in Minnesota.

Thanks to ICS for tagging me with this lead. We share a brain when it comes to most art, and the one I picked up was the one he liked - the delightfully subtle "The Possibles."

I also picked up one called "The Doucheoisie" from the Thinkspace Art Gallery (http://www.sourharvest.com/thinkspace/). They've already pulled it from view, but it was worth it just to learn this word.

Someone REALLY needs to create a blog titled "The Doucheoisie" that gives examples and links to ridicule the public behaviors of the doucheoisie class. j_ay...? I can totally see you doing this! But I Digress.
