Well, that (suspicious) auction for the Avengers page ended at $49,999 (curious) without hitting the reserve. The discussion at the Byrne board ended on the side of skepticism about this one. If anyone kept up with other discussions elsewhere, drop me a comment.

Was it sold off eBay?
More commentary on the Comicart-L on Yahoo today to the effect that the person who owned this in the 1990s had everything he owned restored, which perhaps explains the appearance of the page.
