Margaret is doing a little detective work on its origins, since no one seems to recall every seeing it made available. Edition 1 of 50? One wonders if the other 49 ever saw the light of day.
And none of the information on this package is picked up by Google.

I saw you had won this as I had been following the auction, as it's the first time I've seen any other mention of this 'statue', so I've been waiting for you to post the fact you'd got it.
I've actually got one of these, although mine was involved in an accident a couple of years ago when my wife was dusting!!! It's now in several pieces!!! I think mine was number 43 but sadly I no longer have the box or receipt that had the number on it.
It was made somewhere around the late 80's in the uk. From memory the guy that did them was a glass blower, who was also a Cerebus fan. He turned up at a comics fair in London back in the days when I was a comics dealer, and I bought one off of him. He showed me the letter he'd received back from Dave when he sent him one for comments and approval. Again from memory, Dave's reply was "thanks for the do it yourself Cerebus, as it got broken in the mail" Dave did however give him permission to make them.
I also remember he produced a poster showing several glass Cerebii in different poses, but how many, if any, were produced I don't know.
I've also Googled the details I remember without any success.
Margaret, feel free to use any of the above for the website and contact me if you want any other details.

Hi David -
Nice to have this information. That is a lot more than I knew before.
Two located... 48 to go.
Appropriately enough, I am typing this from the St Giles Hotel on Bedford, where I stay when I am in London.
