April 5 2008 "Twenty-Seven"

Well, if you floated by after I said I was not going to be here... just in case... then you pick up a little bonus for your stalwart effort! Not only did Ger send along the finished "Twenty-Seven," today, but (at least from the Beijing Marriott) I'm (clearly) able to see and log on to blogger.com in China (for the first time). The inked-only version is currently in the land of misfit toys (or someplace like that)... I'll pass it along if it shows up.

Otherwise, just enjoy the living hell out of these.

"Twenty-Seven"

At the end of issue 12, Cerebus has a boat full of gold as he travels along that canal in Beduin (part of the Feld River) next to the Merchant/Cockroach's house. Then the bottom drops out (of the boat, literally), and a ton of gold coins (and his original grey sword...) fall to the bottom of the canal.

A++ to Gerhard for rising (or diving, that is) to the challenge.

Wowza. That is another great one. It took me a while to find the DVS in this one, but it is there.

alchemist, my admiration for both you and ger for the whole "world without cerebus" project. to both of you, because to have such a good reply from ger it is needed to make an intelligent question, and you did it, i feel you are giving to a great artist a real opportunity to express himself at the highest possible level, and he does it. so, kudos to the best tag team in comics original art commisioning available today... I feel you and ger could put up a fight for the best ever, even if it would be probably quite hard to beat "michelangelo and the pope" for that sistine chapel thing. anyway, keep up the good work!
