March 25 2008 "Twenty-Seven"
Continuing the sublime awesomeness that is "The World Without Cerebus" series... here's the update on "Twenty-Seven."
The first of these suffered a little bit from, as Ger put it, looking as though you were peering into a fish tank rather than up from a canal. If the extreme night-time view was taken, with light barely reflecting off the submerged booty, you get the drama of the second image. The third one changes the POV a bit and the flatness of the first one disappears and opens up the notion of where you are. Enjoy.

Gold!
Nice - this looks like it'll be another great one from Gerhard. Though it looks . . .odd? . . .that all the fishies are pointed in the same direction (they're watching me!). I do like the concept of it: Cerebus lost his sword and all that gold (except a couple bags), laying a thread that would be picked up in issue 36. Anding I'm looking for the DVS, but not seeing it yet. . .
Thanks to you and Gerhard for sharing!
I really like the fish to give that sense of depth... plus I think we know there is a speedy current flowing in the canal, right? So they're swimming in their little school.
Really cool in a creepy kind of way.
Take a look at how detailed it looks in the small version and then see how much of a sketch it really is when you click on it.
Envy.
