December 16 2007 "Collateral Damage"
Muchas Gracias to Margaret for pointing me to another nice endorsement of "The World Without Cerebus" project.

Nice! Thanks.
And now, a reminder - At the end of issue #29, Cerebus and the (not real) Regency Elf were playing wickets in the Upper City. Cerebus lined up a shot and "CRAK" ... his red-striped wickets ball went flying over the wall. The WWC moment here - what happened to that ball when in careened into the Lower CIty.
"Collateral Damage"

And, lest we forget:
"Torn Asunder"

"Fallen Idol"

My favorite thus far.
It's really cool, isn't it?
I have shown them to a few people outside the inner-circle of Cerebus fans, and the intrinsic humor of "Collateral Damage" is immediately recognized.
It's genius.
Has DVS seen this, any idea?
I have no idea.*
* I've certainly not heard from him since he decided I had joined the knife-stabbing minions of Bwahahahaha-EEEEvil when I stated that I was not partial to some of his recent solo commissions {but not all, given that I picked up "Frost Giant" and the Kirby Homage quite enthusiastically [and apparently against the will of the member of the conspiratorial horde of daemons (or, as Flip Wilson used to say: 'tis the Devil made me do it!") that are out to rid the world of... oh, never mind, it's too confusing to keep up with terracentricists since they pardoned Galileo] and will continue to exercise what I believe passes for my Free Will in judging the aesthetic appeal of artistic works}, and instead of commenting about about that, I simply decided to ignore it.
Diagram that... I dare you.
I just now came across your WORLD WITHOUT CEREBUS project (via a nod over at the Savage Critics blog) and--Holy Bleep!!!--what a brilliant idea!!! Those first two Gerhard commissions are wonderful.
T
(I should note that I got my start with Cerebus way WAY back with issue 44 and followed it all the way to the end)
I should also add that you can Absolutely include me in on getting a collection of these prints together. Amazing stuff.
Hi Tony!
Welcome to Aartvark Central.
Thanks for the kind words. Always nice to hear from people who were actually around in the olden days!
Cheers.
