June 23 2007 Cerebus #1 p 9

I am just as surprised as you to see the mention of my having received the early alert on the Stockbridge show this November over in the PKoC's blog (#284). If it came in as a fax sometime after May 31, I have not seen it yet because I was away.

I officially designate PKoC as a pronounceable acronym, and will hearby refer to the PKoC as the "peacock."

The mind reels with possibility for deconstructing that bit of ephemera.

So, anyhow, it seems that the peacock... hmmm... not formal enough. OK. Got it.

So, anyhow, it seems that The Peacock is having a showing of art out at the Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge in November, opening on the 10th. I'll let you know if there are more details sequestered on a fax in my 3-week stack'o'mail, when I get back to campus on Monday.

I may hit this one. I have been over to that part of Massachusetts, given that I was born in that state and grew up in New Hampshire. I have a good friend with a home in the Berkshires whom I visit when I am near that part of the world. It's only maybe 2.5-3 hours up there by train from Manhattan, by the way (although the train stop is about an hour so you still need a pick-up once you are in the woods).

There was a second auction over at ComicLink of note - a fairly sweet page from Cerebus #1

http://www.comiclink.com/./Auctions/item.asp?id=705770

It closed at $2,200, but did not hit the reserve. I was the just-under on this one, not that it mattered.

I'm looking forward to the show in Stockbridge - I'll know I'll make the "long" trip down rt 90 to go see it. It'll be nice to finally meet you in "Real Life" as the kids say.

Same here. I'll be sure to post when I know if I can work this in. I have to admit: I hum that same damned James Taylor tune that The Peacock mentioned whenever I see a sign for Stockbridge.

Shouldn’t that be “self-proclaimed” peacock?
The "pariah" thing is...cute. Sometimes. Once a month. Numerous times a day is just annoying.

Thankfully my life is James Taylor free...

Welcome back home, B.
