I like pages from the sideways series in general for some reason... probably it's the same reason I get all googly-woogly over pages from issue #50, as I have explained before: it was really an emotionally charged conclusion to a story of scope. I have good memories of it. Why this page, which only got 2 bids?
On this page, I like the 'point of view' choice in the lower 6 panels. The camera is fixed on Sgt. Preston Roach and the world happens around him. After 5 panels of that, it is what makes the visual punch line in the 6th panel effective. If the other panels had had mixed POV, or anything other than what Dave did, the last panel would not be as funny as it is.
